The two parallel behaviors are evident: masochism and fetishism.
The pleasure is given by a mixture of body contact, controlled pain and above all humiliation, domination by the woman who subdues the man. dal trampling a piedi nudi, come variante più dolce, che sottintende un contatto diretto tra i due partner, o indossando una calzatura, con scarpe a pianta, o con il tacco a spillo, uno stivale. Alla scelta delle parti del corpo da calpestare: ogni trampler può avere la propria zona prediletta, può essere utile fare delle interpretazioni: calpestare il palmo delle mani è un simbolo molto intenso, come di invasione, mentre premerle sul dorso è estremamente doloroso. Calpestare un piede nudo con la suola di uno stivale è indubbiamente un chiaro simbolo di sopruso, oltre che altrettanto doloroso come il dorso della mano stessa. Infine, la più chiara immagine di sottomissione si ha calpestando la testa o il volto.
